Since the pandemic started in March, our Scripture Studies have included the Bible's Greatest Hits, 66 Top Passages from Genesis to Revelation, followed by 28 days of Bible Studies on "Waiting." I hope you have found guidance and inspiration in these reflections.
On November 29, we will begin the Season of Advent, a period of 26 days which will prepare us for the coming of Christ at Christmas. We will post on the FPC website a series of daily Advent Devotions focused on "Signs of Light." But in this case, members of FPC will be the writers!
I want to invite you to contribute a short reflection on a biblical passage, no more than 500 words, followed by a brief prayer. I will assign you the passage, and you will tell a story or contribute an insight. Let your fellow church members know where you are seeing a sign of light in our world today.
Send me an email at hgbrinton@gmail.com if you would like to participate. The deadline for submissions will be November 15, and the devotions will appear every day from November 29 through December 24. Remember that Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life" (John 8:12).
I look forward to hearing from you!
Henry
