We hope one of these circle times will work for you! If you feel you are too busy to join a circle at this time, please come when you can or just join us for our Retreats, Mission, or Fellowship Activities. We welcome your participation as you are able.

Below you will find a description of each circle, the times they meet. Morning and evening circles are available.  Please join us. In the past, we have followed the Presbyterian Women Horizons study and shared discussion leader duties. A theme is determined each year. A nice brunchy snack is shared during the meeting. At Christmas and at the end of the program year in the spring we meet at a local restaurant for lunch. We are representative of many stages in the life of a woman. All are welcome to learn, have fellowship, and grow in your faith with us!  The circle representative is Ann Koch, 703-493-8033, This email address is being protected from spambots. NO MORE SUPERWOMAN:  BECOMING CENTERED WOMAN

Retreat for All Women, Sunday, January 22, 2012

The retreat theme was moving toward wholistic health by centering ourselves spiritually, setting priorities, and achieving balance in our lives by becoming empowered women.  We discussed women at different stages of life’s journey--young singles struggling with identity questions, young marrieds struggling with dual careers and whether to become parents, middle age woman sandwiched between aging parents and teenagers, older woman caring for husbands and grandchildren and those who have achieved balance in life from whom we can learn.

We had 69 women present on an icy day!  41 Circle Members and 28 Non-Circle Members which was 40% of the attendance. The retreat was a huge success in every way!  Thanks to the Retreat Planning Committee (Abigail Evans, Jessica Tate, Carol Barrett, Serena Mercer, Renna Jordan, Patsie Libby, Nancy Martin, and Heidi Whitesel) who worked so well together and was the secret of our success.  Planning and execution came together at the right time and our goals and vision for bringing the women of FPC together was filled with the Holy Spirit and truly used the gifts of all the women involved.  Dr. Abigail Rian Evans, Theological Associate at FPC, and Rev. Jessica Tate, our Associate Pastor, made wonderful presentations and the small groups were a big hit with facilitators:  Nancy Ashley, Lois Bingham, Mary Ann Campbell, Brenda Cheadle, Polly Harris, Claudia Raaberg, and Ednamae Trevey.

Watch for future events which will be generated

from ideas developed at the retreat.
