Nursery Support Needed

Have some time to spend with the littlest of those?  Jessica Harrison and Sara Bowden are organizing volunteers to provide care in the nursery during the 10 o’clock Sunday school hour and the 11:15 worship service. This is a great ministry to care for both the little one and their parents. Two volunteers are needed for each time slot and all volunteers will need to have a background check. Background: Paid Sunday morning childcare ended on Sunday, June 25, due to budget cuts in the 2017-2018 budget.

Ushers Needed!

Looking to serve? We are seeking new members to serve on our usher teams. There are four teams – each team serves at either the 8:45 service or the 11:15 every other month. It’s a great opportunity to meet members of the congregation, and several adult members have served with their middle-school or high-school aged children. Questions? Interested? Thank you! A successful school supply drive for local schoolchildren!

With the support of many generous individuals, businesses, faith communities, and other organizations, FACETS works with their clients to end the cycle of poverty. Thank you to all at FPC who helped the children in FACETS’ programs start the school year ready to learn by contributing school supplies: back packs, notebooks, report holders, pens and pencils, crayons and markers, glue and glue sticks. The children “shopped” for school supplies at one of several locations August 16-18. On behalf of the children and parents served by FACETS, thank you for your ongoing support!
