Usher in the new year!

Sunday morning ushering is a great way to meet people and help provide a worshipping environment for our congregation. Lighting candles, preparing the pews, handing out bulletins, and cleaning up. Ushers work in four teams–one for each service alternating months. Come see if this is a way for you to contribute to our FPC community! Talk to any usher or ministers for details. Minute for Ushering Attachments Minute for Ushering (828 kB)

Usher Teams

The usher team coordinates Sunday morning needs for staff, members and visitors. Prior to the service they light the candles and assist the communion team with setting the table. Often the first to greet the congregation, the ushers distribute bulletins and assist worshipers to their seats. During the service they collect the offering and prayer cards. After the service, the team straightens and restores the pew racks in preparation for the next service. Time commitments are divided among team members and services in monthly rotations. Service is limited to Sunday mornings and occasional seasonal services or special events.
