Arise Campus Ministry at George Mason University is hosting their annual Rise Against Hunger event on November 14 at 7pm where we will work as a group to pack 30,000 meals to be distributed to those in need. CROP Walk

On November 19, we will celebrate 25 YEARS of fighting hunger! A remarkable milestone for our community Walk, and the 6,200 people who have demonstrated through walking a shared belief that hunger is not inevitable. Come join Crop Walk for Burke and Fairfax and FPC as we host the start and finish points for the walk starting at 2 pm on Sunday, November 19th. Can YOU Help?? Homeless Hypothermia Prevention Program

During the week of December 3rd-10th, FPC will be providing a warm place to sleep, nutritious meals and hospitality to homeless adults in our community.  This is an annual church-wide mission event which relies on the active participation of many members to ensure it’s success. Thank you to all who have volunteered and/or donated so far but more help is needed.

Feast & Fellowship **Registration**

Feast & Fellowship was a success and is returning for another season!  We are taking registrations to begin in January 2018. F&F is gatherings for meeting and eating with other church members. These will be Saturday or Sunday dinner groups, hosted in homes as a chance to meet folks from a different pew, aisle, or service!   Let us know if you are interested in participating!  Once people have submitted their date preferences, we’ll sort the groups and share the individual F &F meeting dates to each member. Present Wrapping for MSCDC kids

Wrapping Presents that have been corporations to the Main Street Child Development Center for each child for their parents to give to them on Christmas Day. All women are invited on Dec. 15th, 9:30 – 11:30 am to bring scissors and wrapping paper to the center located at 4401 Sideburn Rd., Fairfax, to help with selecting/wrapping gifts. One of the exciting components of the Capital Campaign is $400,000 for affordable housing. The Session adopted the goal of building up to 10 affordable homes on our property. Mission Outreach Ministry is gathering together an implementation team. Mission Fair

The Mission Outreach Ministry and Mission program leads will host a Mission Fair on October 29 at 12:15 following the second service, in the sanctuary and narthex. Stop by tables to learn more about FPC’s mission work across more than fifteen programs and how you might become involved. We believe we can serve our brothers and sisters in need, sharing in their struggles and hopes and working together for a world of compassion, peace, and justice.
