Food Drive on January 21 for GMU

FPC is partnering with Arise Campus Ministry to benefit George Mason University’s food pantry. The Patriot Pantry, a mission partner of Arise, works to mitigate the challenges that face students with food insecurity and hunger at GMU. FPC will hold a food drive on Sunday, January 21 to benefit the food pantry at GMU. Here are a list of most requested items and a link to the Patriot Pantry’s Amazon wish list. Assist with luncheon for Main Street’s teachers

Luncheon for the teachers at Main Street Development Center located at 4401 Sideburn Rd., Fairfax on January 9, 2018 at 10 am. FPC PW women are asked to bring finger foods such as small sandwiches, veggies w/ dip, fruit, cheese & crackers, cookies, chips, etc. This is a service started by Nancy Partridge and now open to all PW women. Help Take Down Christmas Decorations

Come enjoy good fellowship and donuts and help the Worship Ministry undecorate the church on Saturday, January 6. This is a great opportunity for teens to earn service hours. We’ll begin at 9:30 but you are welcome to come any time in the morning to help. We’ll lovingly store the decorations until next Christmas!

Angel Tree Gift Giving

Angel Tree®, a program of Prison Fellowship, reaches out to the children of prisoners and their families with the love of Christ. FPC is participating in the Christmas gift giving program for 33 children this year. Look for the tree in the Narthex and “adopt” a child or family this Christmas; wrapped gifts are due back by December 17 so that they can be delivered in time for Christmas. Salvation Army Stockings – Please consider picking up and filling a stocking for a child in need for the Christmas season.  Stockings will be available in the Narthex, clearly labeled with a child’s gender and age bracket, during the month of November.  Please return the stockings to the Narthex no later than November 26, 2017!  Thank you for your support.
