Annual Christmas Dinner — December 1!

We hope to see you in Fellowship Hall on Friday, December 1 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm, for this year’s Christmas Party, hosted by the Presbyterian Women..  We have booked the caterer and the band, now we just need attendees!  Registration will be held in the Narthex during the month of November.  The cost is $20/person.  Please come for an evening of fun and fellowship.  Donations will be accepted for Hurricane Relief throughout the evening.  Drop in when you can, we’d love to see you!

Salvation Army Stockings – Please consider picking up and filling a stocking for a child in need for the Christmas season.  Stockings will be available in the Narthex, clearly labeled with a child’s gender and age bracket, during the month of November.  Please return the stockings to the Narthex no later than November 26, 2017!  Thank you for your support.

Arise Campus Ministry at George Mason University is hosting their annual Rise Against Hunger event on November 14 at 7pm where we will work as a group to pack 30,000 meals to be distributed to those in need. CROP Walk

On November 19, we will celebrate 25 YEARS of fighting hunger! A remarkable milestone for our community Walk, and the 6,200 people who have demonstrated through walking a shared belief that hunger is not inevitable. Come join Crop Walk for Burke and Fairfax and FPC as we host the start and finish points for the walk starting at 2 pm on Sunday, November 19th. Can YOU Help?? Homeless Hypothermia Prevention Program

During the week of December 3rd-10th, FPC will be providing a warm place to sleep, nutritious meals and hospitality to homeless adults in our community.  This is an annual church-wide mission event which relies on the active participation of many members to ensure it’s success. Thank you to all who have volunteered and/or donated so far but more help is needed.

Feast & Fellowship **Registration**

Feast & Fellowship was a success and is returning for another season!  We are taking registrations to begin in January 2018. F&F is gatherings for meeting and eating with other church members. These will be Saturday or Sunday dinner groups, hosted in homes as a chance to meet folks from a different pew, aisle, or service!   Let us know if you are interested in participating!  Once people have submitted their date preferences, we’ll sort the groups and share the individual F &F meeting dates to each member. Present Wrapping for MSCDC kids

Wrapping Presents that have been corporations to the Main Street Child Development Center for each child for their parents to give to them on Christmas Day. All women are invited on Dec. 15th, 9:30 – 11:30 am to bring scissors and wrapping paper to the center located at 4401 Sideburn Rd., Fairfax, to help with selecting/wrapping gifts.
