Help Implement Affordable Housing at FPC

Help Implement Affordable Housing at FPC

One of the exciting components of the Capital Campaign is $400,000 for affordable housing. The Session adopted the goal of building up to 10 affordable homes on our property. Mission Outreach Ministry is gathering together an implementation team. If you would like more information or to volunteer to serve on the team you may contact Jerry Hopkins at 703-319-2204 or jhop2020@gmail.com.

Help Spread the JOY!

Help Spread the JOY!

The JOY! Ministry has been a part of FPC for over 10 years. It offers members an opportunity to come together in fellowship for stimulating programs. During the past year JOY! has lost several board members. We need your help to re-organize our team! Please contact Jerry Hopkins (jhop2020@gmail.com) or Marilyn Cromartie (mccromartie@comcast.net) to volunteer your time and talents.

chocolate bars on board

Equal Exchange Chocolate is back!

How is EE chocolate different? EE trades directly with small scale farmer co-ops to make their chocolate and cocoa products. In an industry dominated by plantations notorious for exploitative labor practices, EE and small farms do things differently. Buy EE and support small scale farmers and their families.

Nursery Support Needed

Have some time to spend with the littlest of those?  Jessica Harrison and Sara Bowden are organizing volunteers to provide care in the nursery during the 10 o’clock Sunday school hour and the 11:15 worship service. This is a great ministry to care for both the little one and their parents. Two volunteers are needed for each time slot and all volunteers will need to have a background check. Background: Paid Sunday morning childcare ended on Sunday, June 25, due to budget cuts in the 2017-2018 budget.
