May is Military Appreciation Month

Memorial Day is set aside to honor our military, past and present. OFR hygiene kits support combat hospitals in Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Bagram Air Force Base. Kits also reach soldiers in remote operation bases with no access to these items. Thank you for remembering these selfless men and women with your contributions of toiletry articles or monetary gifts to FPC-OFR. Make new friends packing toiletry kits for Operation First Response on Friday, June 16 at 9:30 in Room 137. If you would like to help in supporting those who risk their lives every day for us, please join us for an hour.

Fairfax Interfaith Friendship Walk

On Sunday, May 21, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., an Interfaith Walk will be held in the City of Fairfax, linking eight places of worship.  I want to invite you to join your Fairfax neighbors for all or part of this 3.5 mile walk, intended to bring faith communities together, help us learn from each other, and develop friendships along the way.  At this time in our nation’s history, we want to appreciate each other and feel part of the same whole, despite our differences.
